Summary

Short-latency evoked potentials, including brainstem auditory evoked potentials (BAEP) and somatosensory evoked potentials (SEP), effectively predict outcomes after severe head injury. SEP proved most reliable for forecasting both favorable and unfavorable patient recovery.
