Abstract:
Patients with pernicious anemia often show markedly prolonged bleeding time but only mild to moderate thrombocytopenia. Their platelets reveal functional defects. Thrombotic tendency due to overcorrection of platelet defects is manifested in the second week of vitamin B12 therapy.
