  • Specific joint angle differences included pelvic obliquity, pelvic rotation, hip flexion-extension, hip abduction-adduction, hip internal-external rotation, knee flexion-extension, ankle dorsi-plantar flexion, and foot progression.

Conclusions:

  • Distinct kinematic and kinetic gait characteristics differentiate patients with IC from healthy individuals.
  • Incorporating gait variable analysis into rehabilitation can promote more economical gait techniques.
  • Rehabilitation for IC should target improved mobility and lower limb muscle strength to increase gait velocity and stride length.
