Completely Automated Public Turing Test to Tell Computers and Humans Apart (CAPTCHA) performance did not predict active macular disease, despite correlations with visual acuity and contrast sensitivity. This suggests CAPTCHA is not a reliable tool for assessing visual dysfunction in these patients.
