    Background:

    • Assessing the long-term clinical performance of CECDs is crucial for patient care.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To retrospectively analyze the clinical performance of CECDs in edentulous patients.
    • To evaluate the survival and maintenance of CECDs.
    • To identify factors influencing treatment outcomes.

    Main Methods:

    • Retrospective analysis of data from 10 patients treated with CECDs (Digital Denture, Ivoclar Vivadent) between 2015-2016.
    • Assessment of treatment appointments, interventions (initial and functional periods), and survival rates.
    • Statistical analysis using Poisson regression models to evaluate influencing factors.

    Main Results:

    • All CECDs survived the observation period of 2.54 ± 0.48 years.
    • Treatment required an average of 4.6 ± 0.7 appointments, primarily for esthetic reasons.
    • Interventions for functional concerns averaged 1.7 ± 0.05 (initial) and 2.07 ± 0.32 (functional) appointments, with pressure spots being the main issue.

    Conclusions:

    • CECDs exhibited acceptable clinical performance regarding survival and maintenance.
    • Relining was needed in 40% of cases, and two fractures occurred.
    • Improved information transfer between dental practice and laboratory may reduce appointments and technical complications.
