N-butyl-cyanoacrylate glue provides a safe and effective method for laparoscopic ventral and incisional hernia repair mesh fixation. This study in pigs demonstrated no mesh complications and good tensile strength, supporting its clinical use.

- Histological analysis revealed a chronic lymphocytic inflammatory and desmoplastic reaction at fixation sites, with some areas showing bone formation.

- N-butyl-cyanoacrylate (GLUBRAN® 2) is a feasible, effective, and safe option for laparoscopic mesh fixation in intraperitoneal incisional/ventral hernia repair.
- The glue demonstrated good biocompatibility and tissue integration in this animal model.
- Further clinical studies are warranted to confirm these findings in human patients.
