A hypermobile medial meniscus without a significant tear caused knee pain in a soccer player. Arthroscopic surgery successfully treated the condition, allowing the athlete to return to play without symptoms.

  • An inside-to-outside meniscus suture technique was employed.
  • Post-suture, the medial meniscus hypermobility was resolved.

Implications:

  • Arthroscopic inspection is crucial for diagnosing subtle meniscal abnormalities like hypermobility.
  • Meniscal suture can effectively treat symptomatic medial meniscus hypermobility.
  • Successful surgical intervention enables athletes to return to sport without pain.
