Brazilian multicenter study on pegvisomant treatment in acromegaly

Pegvisomant (PEGV) effectively normalizes IGF-I levels in Brazilian acromegaly patients, showing significant safety and efficacy in real-world use. This treatment improves glycemic control and is well-tolerated in patients resistant to other therapies.

- PEGV is an effective treatment option for patients whose acromegaly is not adequately controlled by other therapies.
- Treatment duration and baseline GH and IGF-I levels were identified as predictors of response.
