FRAX-based intervention and assessment thresholds for osteoporosis in Iran

Current Iranian guidelines for osteoporosis treatment using T-scores are less effective than FRAX-based fracture probability thresholds, especially for elderly women. Fracture probability thresholds better identify women at high risk of osteoporotic fractures.

- FRAX-based intervention thresholds, equivalent to a "fracture threshold," are more effective in identifying women at high risk of osteoporotic fractures.
