Plasma ApoE elevations are associated with NAFLD: The PREVEND Study

Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is linked to higher levels of apolipoprotein E (ApoE). This study found elevated plasma ApoE in individuals with suspected NAFLD, regardless of their ApoE genotype.
