Serum adiponectin and 8-Hydroxy-2'-deoxyguanosine (8-OHdG) levels can predict cognitive decline in elderly patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM). These biomarkers are linked to neurological outcomes in T2DM patients.
