Background:

Blue rubber bleb naevus syndrome (BRB-NS) is a rare congenital vascular malformation disorder.
It is characterized by the presence of multiple venous malformations (cavernous hemangiomas) in the skin and gastrointestinal tract.
BRB-NS can lead to significant morbidity and mortality due to complications such as bleeding and thrombosis.
