Revised and Neuroimaging-Compatible Versions of the Dual Task Screen

We developed the original Dual Task Screen (DTS) as a portable, low-cost measure that can evaluate athletes with sports-induced mild traumatic brain injury. We revised the original DTS for future clinical use and developed a neuroimaging-compatible version of the DTS to measure neural underpinnings of single and dual task...

Assay Development for High-Throughput Drug Screening Against Mycobacteria

This study developed an assay for high-throughput screening against Mycobacterium abscessus with a recently created double reporter strain, using fluorescence and luminescence to assess bacterial viability quickly. This protocol will be relevant for researchers aiming to screen new drugs against this drug-resistant...

ABCG5/G8 Crystallization in a Lipidic Bicelle Environment for X-Ray Crystallography

This protocol describes a setup for the crystallization of the sterol transporter ABCG5/G8. ABCG5/G8 is reconstituted into bicelles for hanging-drop crystallization. The protocol does not require specialized materials or substrates, making it accessible and easy to adapt in any laboratory for determining the protein structure through X-ray...

Development of a Hepatitis B Virus Reporter System to Monitor the Early Stages of the Replication Cycle

Here we describe a newly developed hepatitis B virus (HBV) reporter system to monitor the early stages of the HBV life cycle. This simplified in vitro system will aid in the screening of anti-HBV agents using a high-throughput...

Screening for Phytoestrogens using a Cell-based Estrogen Receptor β Reporter Assay

We have optimized a commercially available estrogen receptor β reporter assay for screening human and nonhuman primate foods for estrogenic activity. We validated this assay by showing that the known estrogenic human food soy registers high, while other foods show no...
