Purpose of the Study:

  • To establish a standardized treatment protocol for severe blepharoptosis.
  • To improve the accuracy and stability of correction outcomes in blepharoptosis surgery.

Main Methods:

  • Pre-operative evaluation of levator muscle function was performed.
  • Surgical techniques, including frontalis suspension, levator resection, combined excision, and tarsus-levator-CFS suspension, were selected based on levator function.
  • Procedures were performed sequentially to achieve satisfactory correction.

  • The study included 389 patients (561 eyes) with severe ptosis.
  • Satisfactory correction was achieved in 466 eyes, with under-correction in 95 cases.
