Waist-to-hip ratio (WHR) is a better predictor of type 2 diabetes risk than body mass index (BMI) in Pakistani adults. Both measures are strong indicators, but WHR showed superior predictive ability in this study.

- Family history was also identified as a significant factor associated with diabetes.
