Association between C-reactive protein and gestational diabetes: a prospective study

High C-reactive protein (CRP) in early pregnancy significantly increases the risk of gestational diabetes mellitus (GDM). Measuring CRP in the first trimester may serve as a cost-effective screening tool for GDM risk.
