Abstract:
Adipose-derived stem cells may adhere when properly applied to a cartilage defect in rabbits, whereas injected stem cells may not adhere. Stem cell harvesting, isolation, quantification, typing, and expansion are specific; complex cartilage regeneration remains unproven; and translation to a human model is enigmatic.
