Summary

Volex sedimentation with hypotonic lysis (VSHL) offers a viable method for isolating pure polymorphonuclear neutrophils. This technique provides comparable cell viability and function to Ficoll-Hypaque separation, making it a practical alternative for granulocyte isolation.
