Perioperative multi-system optimization protocol in elderly hip fracture patients: a randomized-controlled trial.

- The implemented perioperative multi-system optimization protocol did not significantly decrease postoperative complications in elderly hip fracture patients.
- The study may have been underpowered due to overestimation of the potential treatment effect, limiting the ability to demonstrate a significant benefit.
