Hunting and mountain sheep: Do current harvest practices affect horn growth?

Human harvest of male mountain sheep (Ovis canadensis ssp.) has minimal impact on horn size evolution. While age structure and environmental factors influence horn growth, selective hunting practices rarely lead to significant, long-term changes in horn size across North America.
