Background:

Purpose of the Study:

  • To evaluate the effectiveness of auditory stimulation training with technically modulated musical material (ASTM) for children with SLI.

  • A randomized control group design was employed with 101 preschool children diagnosed with SLI.
  • Participants were allocated to an ASTM group (n=40), a comparison group (n=24), or a control group (n=37).
  • The ASTM group received 12 weeks of 30-minute sessions thrice weekly; the comparison group received pedagogical activities; the control group received no treatment. Cognitive skills were assessed pre- and post-intervention.
