[Surgical treatment of large and giant postoperative ventral hernias]

On the basis of the experience with the treatment of 121 patients the author describes the method of preoperative preparation of patients with postoperative hernias of the abdomen, specific features of the operative treatment which allowed to reduce postoperative lethality.
