Venous thromboembolic events in the tofacitinib ulcerative colitis clinical development programme

Tofacitinib for ulcerative colitis (UC) showed low rates of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) and pulmonary embolism (PE). Most events occurred in patients with risk factors on higher doses during long-term treatment.

- Further research is warranted due to the small sample size and limited exposure in this analysis.
