From registration to publication: A study on Dutch academic randomized controlled trials

Approximately one in four Dutch investigator-initiated randomized controlled trials (RCTs) remain unpublished five years post-initiation. Furthermore, a significant number of published RCTs show inconsistencies with their original protocols, highlighting a need for improved trial design and feasibility assessment.
