Summary

Two aggressive canine gliomas showed significant neuronal differentiation, resembling a rare human tumor but with increased aggressiveness. Neuronal markers aided in identifying these elements, suggesting further research into canine oligodendroglioma.

Area of Science:

  • Veterinary Pathology
  • Canine Oncology
  • Neuro-oncology

Background:

  • High-grade gliomas are aggressive brain tumors in dogs.
  • Neuronal differentiation is a rare phenomenon in canine oligodendroglioma.
