Summary

Spine surgeon specialty does not significantly impact short-term adverse outcomes in percutaneous kyphoplasty (PKP), except for a higher transfusion rate in orthopedic surgery. Different risk predictors exist between neurosurgery and orthopedic surgery for PKP complications.
