Modified arytenoid muscle electrode recording method for neuromonitoring during thyroidectomy

This study found that a modified arytenoid muscle electromyography (EMG) recording method is safe and reliable for protecting the recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN) during thyroid surgery. The modified method revealed differences in EMG signal latency between the right and left vagus nerves.
