Tips of the trade #1. A cost-efficient system for the irrigation of open fractures

The debridement and copious irrigation necessary for the treatment of open fractures can present a technical challenge to the clinician. We have devised an irrigation system, using materials readily available in the operating room, that allows open fractures to be irrigated at pressures greater than gravity.
