  • Computed tomography (CT) is effective in diagnosing sump syndrome, identifying key features like pneumobilia and choledocholithiasis.
  • Conservative management led to clinical improvement in this patient.

Implications:

  • Sump syndrome necessitates awareness due to potential severe complications like cholangitis and hepatic abscesses.
  • This case suggests that non-invasive management may be a viable option for select patients with sump syndrome.
