Background:
Skin cancers of the periorbital area present unique challenges to Mohs surgeons.
Objective:
The need for precise and high-quality Mohs micrographic surgery (MMS) is paramount because of the complex anatomy, vital structures, and potential threat to vision.
Methods:
A thorough comprehension of anatomy is essential to help predict tumor behavior and ensure successful outcomes for patients.
Results:
Tumors occurring at the medial and lateral canthi are of greatest concern for deeper orbital penetration.
Conclusion:
In this study, we present our experience with MMS of periorbital tumors, including clinical pearls and techniques to aid the Mohs surgeon.
