Electroconvulsive Therapy for Neuroleptic Malignant Syndrome: A Case Series

Electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) effectively treated neuroleptic malignant syndrome (NMS) in patients refractory to medication. This study suggests considering ECT early for severe NMS cases, especially when underlying conditions also respond to ECT.

- Consideration of ECT is particularly relevant when the patient's underlying psychiatric condition is also responsive to ECT.
