Abstract:
The broncho alveolar lavage technique has made it possible to study the role alveolar macrophages in different pathological conditions. In asthmatic patients the alveolar macrophages take part in the genesis and sustained continuaction of the illness. The therapeutic impact of such an observation is worthy of attention.
