Influence of Kidney Function on Serum Risperidone Concentrations in Patients Treated With Risperidone

Reduced kidney function significantly increases serum concentrations of risperidone and its active metabolite, 9-hydroxyrisperidone (9-OH-RIS). A 50% dose reduction is recommended for patients with a glomerular filtration rate (GFR) below 60 mL/min.
