Acute shock caused by Clonorchis sinensis infection: a case report

Acute shock from Clonorchis sinensis (C. sinensis) infection, a rare complication of this food-borne zoonotic disease, was documented for the first time in a fatal case. This highlights the severe, underrecognized hazards of clonorchiasis.
