    Background:

    • Chronic renal failure (CRF) is associated with impaired cellular immunity.
    • T-lymphocytes play a crucial role in cellular immunity and are implicated in immune dysfunction in CRF.

    Purpose of the Study:

    • To investigate the impairment of cellular immunity in patients with chronic renal failure.
    • To assess the function of T-lymphocytes in CRF by examining lymphocyte rosetting.
    • To evaluate the effects of uremic serum and levamisole on T-lymphocyte rosetting in CRF.

    Main Methods:

    • Lymphocyte rosetting assay with sheep erythrocytes was used to determine T-lymphocyte levels.
    • The study involved patients with chronic renal failure.
    • Experiments included the addition of uremic serum, normal AB serum, and levamisole to assess their effects on lymphocyte rosetting.
