Summary

A novel molybdenum disulfide/nickel molybdate (MoS2/α-NiMoO4) nanocomposite effectively inactivates multidrug-resistant Staphylococcus aureus using visible light. Superoxide radicals (O2¯) are identified as the primary species responsible for bacterial destruction.
