Long-term antiretroviral therapy shows brain plasticity in HIV patients. Continuous antiretroviral therapy (cART) may improve neurometabolic profiles, indicated by increased N-acetyl-aspartate (NAA)/creatine (Cr) ratios and better neurocognitive function.
