Fabrication of High Contrast Gratings for the Spectrum Splitting Dispersive Element in a Concentrated Photovoltaic System

We developed a novel switchable linear polarization grating (LPG) that splits linearly polarized light into controllable circularly polarized beams. This polarization-sensitive device utilizes a circular polarization grating (CPG) and a cycloidal diffractive quarter waveplate (CQWP).
