Abstract:
The rare absence of the coronary sinus is described in a 78 year old male cadaver. The veins of the posterior surface of the heart, including the marginal and small cardiac veins, drained into the right atrium through an ostium guarded by a valve. The great cardiac vein drained into the superior vena cava after passing upward and beneath the left coronary artery.
