Summary
This case report details the first known instance of intratendinous or peritendinous calcification in Gitelman syndrome (GS) patients. The findings highlight rare extra-articular calcification in individuals with this genetic disorder.

Background:
- Gitelman syndrome (GS) results from inactivations in genes for thiazide-sensitive sodium chloride cotransporter and magnesium transporters.
- GS mimics thiazide diuretic effects: hypokalemia, hypomagnesemia, hypocalciuria, metabolic alkalosis, and low normal blood pressure.
- Serum calcium and phosphate are typically normal in GS, barring hyperparathyroidism or other hypercalcemic causes.
