Background:

  • Work ability, a subjective measure of current capacity versus lifetime best, is crucial for assessing retired prostate cancer patients.

Purpose of the Study:

  • To determine the prevalence of high versus moderate/poor work ability in men 3 years after RALP.
  • To identify factors associated with moderate/poor work ability post-prostatectomy.

Main Methods:

  • A questionnaire-based study surveyed 730 men who underwent RALP.
  • Data collected included work ability, socio-demographics, health status, and treatment side effects (EPIC-26).
  • Descriptive statistics and logistic regression were used for analysis.

  • 42% of men reported moderate/poor work ability at a mean of 3 years post-RALP.
