Primary Nasal Epithelial Cells From Allergic and Non-allergic Individuals Show Comparable Barrier Function

Allergic patients' nasal epithelial cells showed similar barrier function and cytokine secretion compared to non-allergic individuals, contradicting previous findings. This study challenges the notion of inherent barrier defects in allergic nasal epithelium.
