Nucleic acid amplification testing (NAAT) alone is the most cost-effective diagnostic strategy for Clostridioides difficile infection (CDI). The glutamate dehydrogenase then NAAT (GDH/NAAT) approach is the most cost-effective two-step method for diagnosing CDI.
