Summary

Researchers explored Saudi Arabian plants for new anti-malarial drugs. A novel compound, 15β-hydroxycryptopleurine-N-oxide, from Hypoestes forskaolii showed significant activity against chloroquine-resistant Plasmodium falciparum.
