Cervical thymic cysts, though uncommon, can cause significant respiratory issues in children. Surgical excision is effective, with no reported long-term respiratory problems in pediatric patients.

  • Seven patients had a history of upper respiratory tract infection preceding mass development.
  • Histology confirmed thymic cysts with cholesterol crystals, Hassall's corpuscles, and giant cell reaction.
