The formation of teeth, also known as odontogenesis, is a complex process that begins in utero, around the sixth week of embryonic development. There are three stages to this process: the bud stage, the cap stage, and the bell stage.

The number of disintegrations per unit time is called the activity (A), which is directly proportional to the number of nuclei in the sample. Summary

The tooth/pulp ratio method accurately estimated age at death in 81.25% of forensic cases, outperforming standard anthropological methods. This dental technique offers a reliable tool for age estimation in forensic investigations.
