Associations between metabolites and pancreatic cancer risk in a large prospective epidemiological study

- Other metabolites, including cysteine-glutathione disulfide, were inversely associated with PDAC risk.
Conclusions:
- Prediagnostic metabolites associated with subclinical disease, gamma-glutamyl cycle metabolism, and insulin resistance are linked to PDAC.
- These findings highlight the potential of metabolomics for early PDAC detection.
