  • Retrospective quantitative case-control study.
  • Data collected from surgical outpatients and pathology specimens at Guido Valadares National Hospital (September 2016 - September 2017).

  • 444 female patients diagnosed with breast disease.
  • Fibroadenoma (42.3%) and non-specific lumps (27.4%) were most common.
  • Biopsies revealed 62.6% malignant or hyperplastic conditions; 86% of malignant cases were locally advanced.
