Microvascular Disease Increases Amputation in Patients With Peripheral Artery Disease

Microvascular disease (MVD) and peripheral artery disease (PAD) significantly increase amputation risk, especially when occurring together. Early diagnosis and surveillance of both conditions are crucial for preserving limb function in at-risk patients.
