Supplementation with selenium and coenzyme Q10 significantly reduced levels of von Willebrand factor (vWf) and plasminogen activator inhibitor-1 (PAI-1) in elderly individuals. This suggests improved endothelial function, aligning with previous findings of reduced cardiovascular mortality.
